World Junior "A" Challenge Identification Camp

Jay Aasen & Brandon Sloan off to Evaluation Camp

40 players from the SJHL will hit the ice in Humboldt this morning (Monday) for day one of the World Junior "A" Challenge Identification Camp.

Head Coach Dean Brockman will lead Team West into Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in November to try and defend last year's gold medal win.

Jay Aasen and Brandon Sloan of the Mustangs will attend camp to try to earn a spot while Head Coach Gavin Holcomb see action behind the bench as one of many camp evaluators.

Over 151 WJAC Alumni have heard their name called at the NHL Draft including Kyle Turris and Nail Yakupov.

**Sloan and Aasen are on Team 1.

Monday October 1st
10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. Team 1 practice
11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Team 2 practice
7:30 p.m. Team 1 vs Team 2

Tuesday October 2nd
8:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. Practice (Loser from Monday game)
9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Practice (Winner from Monday game)
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Humboldt Broncos practice
12:30 p.m.  Team 1 vs Team 2

**All ice sessions to be held at Elgar Petersen Arena and are open to the public
