Solid effort on the road

The Mustangs started the weekend off on the right foot with a big win on the road in Weyburn. The Mustangs scored first and last to take the 2-1 win. The Mustangs power play has struggled this year but they used the power play to score both goals tonight.

Brandon Formosa got the Mustangs on the board with the first PP goal at 12:31 of the first period. Weyburn got that one back in the second period before Jay Aasen scored the Mustangs second PP goal of the game at 6:01 of the third period.

Patrick Johnson got the win by stopping 23 of 24 shots.

The Mustangs next action comes Saturday night at home vs Melville.
