5-0 win for the Broncos

Joey Davies continued his hot play as he notched two goals and two assists to lead the Humboldt Broncos to a 5-0 win over the Melfort Mustangs Tuesday night.

The Mustangs fell behind 2-0 in the first period on Davies' league leading 16th goal of the season and a Cody Pongracz powerplay marker.

The second period was one to forget for the Mustangs who allowed two goals 19 seconds to open the frame to fall behind 4-0.

That would spell the end of the night for Jesse Wilkins who made 12 saves on 16 shots.

Patrick Johnson would come in and make 10 saves on 11 shots.

The Mustangs struggled with the man advantage again going 0/5.

These two teams will meet again on Friday night on CK750.

But first...the Mustangs will host the Battlefords tonight at 7:30 at The Palace.
