For just the 2nd time this season, the Melfort Mustangs were able to come from behind to earn two points on the road.
Brady Goebel scored the game winner with 8 minutes left in the second as the Mustangs earned a 3-1 win over North Battleford Wednesday night.
Brandon Sloan opened the scoring 10 minutes earlier and Jarrett Zentner iced it with an empty netter in the dying seconds.
The Mustangs were coming off an embarrassing 6-1 loss to Kindersley on Tuesday and found themselves behind early as Jake McMillian potted his 12th of the year on a 5-3 man advantage.
After only mustering two shots in the first period, it was all Melfort in the final 40.
Patrick Johnson made 30 stops, a number of them in spectacular fashion to single handily keep his club in it.
WIth the win, Melfort moves to within one point of North Battleford for 4th in the Bauer Conference.
These two teams meet again Friday at The Palace.
Game time is 7:30.
