Johnson Spectacular in First WHL Win

38 saves, named 2nd star

Melfort Mustang netminder Patrick Johnson picked up his first WHL win in his first WHL start for the Saskatoon Blades last night.

Johnson made 38 saves and was named the games 2nd star in a 7-2 win over Medicine Hat.

Johnson has appeared in three games for the Blades since being recalled before the Christmas break and has a 2.61 GAA and a .910 SVP.

Johnson and the Blades are off until Friday when the host Prince Albert.
