Nic Hermary will be joining the Saint Michael’s College Purple Knights
in Colchester, Vermont. He will begin his NCAA (National Collegiate
Athletic Association) university hockey career this fall.

A native of Coquitlam, British Columbia, Nic played 82 regular season
games for the Melfort Mustangs (of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey
League), recording 8 goals, 16 assists, and 28 PIMs during the past two
season.

“We would like to congratulate Nic on furthering his hockey and academic career.  We want to thank Nic for his contributions to the Melfort Mustang program over the past 2 years and we wish him all the best in the future” says Head Coach Trevor Blevins.

“It's an honour to be heading to a great school with a great hockey
program. I am excited for the opportunity to be able to play hockey and
further my schooling. I'd like to thank the entire Mustangs
organization and my family for all their support. I will always
remember my Junior hockey experience in Melfort”

The Purple Knights are a NCAA Division II school that competes in the
Division III ECAC East (Eastern College Athletic Conference) against
Saint Anselm College, Norwich University and Babson College among others.

Saint Michael's Assistant Coach, Casey Fratkin, notes "Nic epitomizes
the type of student-athletes we aim to recruit here at St. Mike's. In
addition to being a smart, two-way forward, with speed and skill, Nic is
a strong student that we expect to lead both on and off the ice. We are
very excited to have him as part of our college and hockey program.
