It's been a high-scoring first few weeks of the season, but the SJHL now has it's first shutout of the year.

Richard Palmer stopped all 34 shots he faced, for his, and the league's, first zero on the board this season, in Melfort's 2-0 win over La Ronge.

Travis Mayan and Dakota Boutin did the scoring, while Ice Wolves' goalie Kris Joyce was also solid, making 32/34 saves.

Melfort and Nipawin now sit tied for the Sherwood Division lead, with identical 6-0-1-0 records.
