Brett Kitt seems to be finding his scoring touch with his new team. Kitt, acquired by Melfort from Melville in late November, scored twice on Friday night, in the Mustangs' 5-3 win over Estevan.
Kitt has 3g-1a-4p in four games as a Mustang, and had three goals (and 11 points) in 22 games in Melville.
Teal Sobkowicz also had a two goal night for Melfort (20-5-2-1), with Justin Boyer adding the other. Travis Mayan's seven game point streak came to a close. In fact he had three points in five consecutive games prior to Friday.
Darcy DeRoose (1g-1a), Lynnden Pastachak and Jason Duret scored for the Bruins (14-12-0-1).
Saturday night, Craig Leverton and Justin Boyer scored two goals each, leading the Melfort Mustangs over the Melville Millionaires 4-2.
Evan Plotnik stopped 22/24 shots in goal for the Mustangs (21-5-2-1), who won their fourth straight.
Christian Stevens scored for a second straight night for Melville (9-18-0-1), and Liam Shaw opened the scoring on the powerplay. Clarke Flegel made 24/27 saves in his Millionaires' debut.
