The 2023 instalment of the SJHL Draft is set for Thursday, June 1 as the league welcomes in the next crop of young players.
The draft will begin at 1 p.m., and feature six rounds of players born in 2007, followed by two rounds of players born in 2008.
“As an organization we are excited and are looking forward to the draft on Thursday,” said Director of Player Personnel Rick Oakes. “We hold four picks in the top two rounds and we will be adding some very good prospects. There are some good local kids that had good seasons and will be on our list as well.”
The Mustangs hold eight picks in the 2007 portion of the draft, including two in the top 10, and then two picks in the 2008 portion of the draft. That is barring any trades on draft day however.
