From the 3rd jersey reveal to the teddy bear toss, auctions, and family events. It’s going to be a special couple of days.
Don’t forget the pancake breakfast, Calcutta auction, and both post-game socials will be hosted at the Melfort Senior Centre.
Calcutta Auction Info:
The Melfort Mustangs will be auctioning off “draft picks” ahead of the annual Calcutta shootout. Anyone can bid for the spot and pick the player they think will win the tournament-style shootout. We will also have two mystery shooter which are anonymous, as well as Head Coach Trevor Blevins, and Assistant Coach Clarke Huxley which will make roughly 29 total skaters and 2 goalies available in the shootout.
All the money raised through the auction goes into the pot. At the end of the shootout, the winning bidder on the player who won the tournament gets a predetermined payout from the auction pool. Goaltenders and Players pools will be separate, so we will have a top 3 of winning shooters and a winning goalie. Anyone can bid on a spot and once the auction is fully completed then starting from the top the winning bidder may choose the player of their wishes.
Each shooter gets three chances to score, they need to get at least one to advance to the next round. This will continue until we have three winners.
