Arps Shines in Mustangs Debut

Jaxon Joseph had a goal and an assist and Nick Schultze stayed hot scoring a game tying goal in the third period. It was the newest Mustang Hunter Arps who stole the spotlight however as he turned away 38 of 40 shots through regulation and overtime and all 3 shots he faced in the shootout. That set the stage for the hometown hero Kalem Zary who potted the shootout winner and the Melfort Mustangs stay unbeaten this season as they downed the Weyburn Redwings 3 to 2 in the shootout.

The Mustangs are back in action Saturday night as they continue their 4 game in 5 night road swing when they visit the olympic sized ice in Notre Dame.
