The Melfort Mustangs will be moving Eric McNeilly and Ayden Third to the Humboldt Broncos as part of the rebuilding process for the Broncos Organization. The SJHL Board of Governors have voted unanimously to provide players to the Humboldt Broncos and they have selected McNeilly and Third.
McNeilly, a 1999′ born forward, from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, has two more seasons of Junior A eligibility. In his first season in the SJHL Eric appeared in 37 regular season games for Melfort scoring 3 goals and adding 4 assists for 7 points. He also played in 3 playoff games against the Humboldt Broncos.
The Mustangs would like to thank Eric for his time as a Mustang. He has been a great ambassador for the team both on and off the ice. We’d like to wish Eric and his family nothing but the best in Humboldt as he continues his career with the Broncos.
The Broncos have also selected prospect Ayden Third. Third, a 2002′ born defencemen, played last season with the Regina Midget AA Rangers. He also spent time with the Regina Pat Canadians Midget AAA team.
