Colby Brett named SJHL Rookie of the week!

Colby Brett has been named the SJHL Rookie of the week! It’s a big week for the defenceman, along with picking up the award he scored his first career SJHL goal against Flin Flon last week! From the SJHL:

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Colby Brett, Melfort Mustangs
2001 D Colby Brett (Phoenix AZ USA) scored a goal and two assists in a weekday home and home series with Flin Flon as the Mustangs ended up collecting all four points in the standings.  Brett assisted on his team’s final goal of the night on Tuesday and then helped setup one and scored one in a span of three minutes as part of a three goal barrage in the first period on Thursday as Melfort posted an overtime win.  For the year, Brett has 1-goal and 5-assists in 19-games.
