The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce that Aidyn Hutchinson has committed to the University of Northern Michigan. Hutchison played two seasons with the Mustangs, quickly becoming a fan favorite and earning himself an ‘A’ in his 20-year-old season. Aidyn contributed to our successful 2023-2024 season as Canterra Seeds Cup Champions with 17 goals and 15 assists in our playoff run, as well as, 33 goals and 45 assists in the regular season.
Head Coach Trevor Blevins had this to say about Hutchinson’s commitment. “Aidyn is very deserving of his commitment to the Northern Michigan Wildcats. He came in last season with the commitment and work ethic to start the year and that resulted in a phenomenal season for him. Full of fire and a will to win, Aidyn was a true leader on our team. His ability to make plays and score will definitely benefit the Wildcats program. Congratulations on achieving your dream for a Division 1 scholarship, they are getting one of the best.”
