Meyers to step down as Assistant Coach

The Melfort Mustangs would like to thank Assistant Coach Dan Meyers for his time and commitment over the last 4 seasons.

Dan is officially stepping down from his position as assistant coach after 4 seasons with the Mustangs. Dan joined the team as Trevor Blevins Assistant Coach prior to the 2015-16 season. He remained with the club through 2018-19 and won one SJHL Championship in 2016.

“Dan was a great assistant coach. He was great to work with and always put the players and team first,” Head Coach Trevor Blevins said. “I can’t thank him enough for everything he’s done and contributed to this team over the last 4 seasons. We will miss him on the bench and wish him all the best in his future endeavors”.

Dan was always a players coach and was great to the boys on and off the ice(We are sure our players will forever remember “Mantracker”). He will be missed on the Mustangs staff and will be hard to replace moving forward.

The Mustangs will look to fill the Assistant Coach role, and will do so in the future in the proper manner.
