Minnoch named SJHL’s Defenceman of the Month for March

March is the Month of Minnoch.

20-year-old defenceman for the Mustangs, Kevin Minnoch has been named the SJHL’s SuperU Defenceman of the Week for March after a month where he earned 11 points in 10 games in the month between the regular season and playoffs.

Minnoch started the month off hot by earning three points on March 1 against the Kindersley Klippers. He added one more assist in the regular season portion of March before taking off in this playoff run. In six playoff games in the month of March, the Sherwood Park, Alta. product notched one goal to go along with five assists to sit currently tied for third in defenceman scoring in the playoffs. He’s only been held pointless twice in the month of March.
