Mustangs acquire Chase Anderson

The Melfort Mustangs are pleased to announce the acquisition of 99’ forward Chase Anderson from the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Anderson was acquired as part of a three team trade, involving the Sherwood Park Crusaders and Notre Dame Hounds.

Sherwood Park sent Anderson along with a PDF to Notre Dame in exchange for 98’ D Riley Perka. Anderson was then sent from Notre Dame to Melfort for a PDF.

Originally from Lloydminster, Alberta, Anderson will be entering his second full season of Junior Hockey. After spending all of last season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders, he scored 1 goal and added 2 assists in 29 games. He finished his Midget Hockey Career with the Lloydminster AAA Midget Bobcats during the 2016-17 season. In 34 games he scored 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 points.

“We’re really excited to add Anderson to the Mustangs this year. He’s a big 99’ forward and will be a difference maker in our lineup.” Mustangs Head Coach Trevor Blevins said. “Anderson is a player we’ve been scouting for years. It’s a great addition and we’re glad to have him.”

Anderson and the Mustangs will open fall camp on Aug 31st 2018 at the Northern Lights Palace.
