The Melfort Mustangs are very excited to announce the acquisition of veteran WHL defensemen Nik Andrusiak. Nik was recently acquired from the Melville Millionaires in exchange for draft picks and a player development fee. Nik brings plenty of experience with him to the Mustangs blue line with 77 WHL regular season games and 25 postseason games. Also important to mention his 75 SJHL regular season games with the Melville Millionaires prior to his WHL campaign.
Head Coach/GM Trevor Blevins had this to say about the acquisition of Andrusiak, “Nik will be an elite D-man in our league this upcoming season. His experience and on ice play will be huge assets for our lineup on a nightly basis. More importantly, his strong character and work ethic is what sets him apart from others. For these reasons, he will step in and be a valued leader in our dressing room.”
