The Melfort Mustangs(11-3-2-1) will meet the Flin Flon Bombers(6-8-0-3) tonight for their first of 8 meetings on the season. The Mustangs come into tonight’s contest riding a bit of a high after knocking off the La Ronge Ice Wolves 6-0 in their most recent contest last Thursday. For the Flin Flon Bombers they’ve cooled down a bit after a hot start to the season, they dropped 7 straight games in October but have maybe found something after winning their last time out, 4-3 over a good Notre Dame team.

The Melfort Mustangs were led offensively last Thursday against La Ronge by Drew Warkentine and others. He picked up his first two goals as a Mustang. Other Mustang goal scorers included Justin Ball, Carson Albrecht, Andrew Thompson and Reed Gunville. In the assist department, Kalem Zary had a solid night notching 3 apples while Loch Morrison added 2. Ashton Oakes, Tyson Meyers, Boedy Donald and Rock Ruschkowski also added helpers. Between the pipes Hunter Arps got his 2nd win of the season and 1st shutout. As he was perfect making 18 saves on 18 shots.
Note the start time of tonight’s game as it’s played in Manitoba. It begins an hour earlier for those in the Saskatchewan Time Zone. Puck drop tonight is 6:30pm back home. CK750 will have a broadcast tonight with the pregame show starting prior to puck drop!
