The Melfort Mustangs “Feed the Mustangs” Farming Project has wrapped up for another year.
This year, 210 acres of canola was seeded thanks to donations from Pioneer Hybrid, Brett Young, and Bayer. Fuel this year was donated by Lake Country Co-op in Kinistino and Fairy Glen Co-op. Fertilizer was donated by Nutrien and Richardson Pioneer.
To take the crop off the field, there was help from Ag World Equipment, Ag Authority, Redhead Equipment, Giddy Up Transport, Starco Ag Transport, and Doug Hope Trucking (Ag Com Transport).
A special thanks also goes out to Hillbilly Farms for the field work, and everything in between. We would also not be in this position without the generosity of Jeff Pederson and Wayne Love who allowed us to rent their land for the project.
“Strong commodity prices allowed us to have a great net profit to the team,” said President Jordan Lee. “We look forward to working with everyone involved with our farming project as we could not do it without you.”
