Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League

Mustangs Host Klippers For First Time Tonight

The Melfort Mustangs have enjoyed a full week off from game action this week thanks to some bad weather across Northern Saskatchewan. Because of a snow storm and slippery roads the Mustangs had their only game of the week(in Flin Flon) postponed.

Tonight the Mustangs are back on the ice as they host the Kindersley Klippers. Game time is 7:30pm and the Mustangs look to stay hot. They have points in 4 straight games picking up 7 of a possible 8 during that stretch. Kindersley is riding a bit of a high into tonight’s game too as they knocked off one of the top teams in the SJHL the Weyburn Red Wings, twice last week on back to back nights.

Melfort(14-4-3-1) continues to pace the SJHL as they’ve led the league right at the top of the standings, from the beginning of the year right through to tonight. Kindersley(10-6-2-1) has solidified themselves in the top 8 and has pulled away from 9th place Flin Flon thanks to those back to back wins last week.
