Mustangs on the road to Yorkton

The Melfort Mustangs are on the road tonight to meet the Yorkton Terriers at the Farrell Agencies Arena! Game time is 7:30pm on CK750.

The Mustangs are coming off a win over the Melville Millionaires on Friday night. For Melfort, it broke a 2 game slide and has seen the team pick up their 21st win of the season in game number 30. Justin Ball led the way offensively with a goal and an assist in the game. Boedy Donald and Kenzie Arnold scored the other goals for the Mustangs. Colin Schmidt, Nolan Kadachuk, Kayle Tosh, Tanner Zentner and Zach Anderson picked up lone assists in the contest. Shawn Parkinson made 18 saves on 19 shots in the win, he’s now 8-1 as a Mustang with a 1.39 GAA and a .944 Save Percentage in 10 appearances.

The Yorkton Terriers are looking to get back in the win column tonight. They dropped a 2-1 decision to Nipawin on Friday in their most recent game. That ended a 4 game win streak for the Terriers.  Yorkton has been the most consistent team in the Viterra division this season. With a 17-11-1-0 record they lead the division by 3 points over Estevan. They also have 5 games in hand on the Bruins.
