The Melfort Mustangs are excited to welcome back 2004-born goalie James Venne to the club.
Venne was spent the beginning of this season with the Medicine Hat Tigers and Prince Albert Raiders of the Western Hockey League (WHL). He played in two pre-season games for the Tigers before being traded to Prince Albert, where he didn’t get into a game, but was the backup for one game.
Last season with the Mustangs, Venne played in 33 games, earning a 17-7-5 record, with a 2.76 goals-against-average, and a .898 save percentage. He would also gather two shutouts during the 21/22 season with the Mustangs.
Venne will be joining the team immediately.
