NAULT COMMITS TO ST. THOMAS

The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce graduating forward Austin Nault has committed to St. Thomas University in Minnesota for the 2020-21 hockey season!

Nault, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, came to the Mustangs in November of 2019, following two and a half seasons with the Kindersley Klippers. As an added boost to a Mustang team contending for the Canalta Cup, Nault scored four goals and added six assists in 12 games as a Mustang. He also added two assists in four playoff games.

“We want to congratulate Austin on his commitment.  He showed a great degree of perseverance to overcome a long term injury this season and made an immediate impact in our lineup upon his return.” Mustang Head Coach and General Manager Trevor Blevins said. “Austin is a quality individual that has a bright future not only in hockey, but in any career path he chooses.”

Nault will head to St. Paul, Minnesota, to join his new team and University this fall. The University of St Thomas Men’s Hockey program compete in NCAA Division 3 and are a member of the MIAC conference.

The Mustangs would like to thank Austin for his time in Melfort and wish him all the best moving forward!
