The Series now shifts to Estevan for Games 3 and 4 as the Melfort Mustangs and Estevan Bruins have had a few days off. After back to back come from behind wins the Mustangs lead the Series 2-0 and will look to take a stranglehold tonight. Game time is 7:30pm from Estevan.

In Game 1 of the series on Friday night the Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 4 minutes into the second period on goal from Bryce Platt. Turner Ripplinger would score the other Bruin goal. But the Mustangs wouldn’t go away as they would respond with 4 goals in 7 minutes as Kenzie Arnold would score twice, while Zach Anderson and Colin Schmidt would also score. In the third, the Mustangs would add 2 more from Carson Albrecht and roll to a 6-2 victory on home ice! Noah Giesbrecht got the win in net his 5th of the playoffs.

In Game 2 the intensity picked up as both teams would increase the physical play. Just like Game 1 the Bruins would score first as Jayden Davis got his 3rd of the playoffs 5 minutes into the second period. The Mustangs would respond just 17 seconds later as Tanner Zentner would tip home the Nolan Kadachuk point shot. In the third period the Mustangs would pull away as goals from Carson Albrecht and Justin Ball would seal a 3-1 victory for the home team. With the win Giesbrecht now has a 6-0 record in the playoffs and the Mustangs lead the SJHL Semi-Final Series 2-0.
