The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce graduated forward Dryden Michaud will be joining the University of British Columbia for the 2019-20 hockey season!
Dryden joined the Mustangs this season after spending the majority of his junior career with the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League. He played 58 games with the Blades, he also played 7 games with the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL prior to joining the Mustangs. In 2018-19, Dryden suited up in 16 games in Melfort and scored 3 goals while adding 3 assists. He also played in 2 playoff games.
“Dryden was a big acquisition for us last year. We felt his speed and skill could help push our team to the next level.” Mustang Head Coach and GM Trevor Blevins said. “Dryden was an outstanding Mustang, we thank him for his time in Melfort, and wish him the best with UBC. “
The University of British Columbia Men’s Hockey Team competes in U Sports, the highest level of play at the University level in Canada. Last year UBC finished with 20-17-0 record and lost to Mount Royal in the Canada West Quarter-Finals.
