The Melfort Mustangs have acquired 1999-born Forward Ryley Lanthier from the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League, in exchange for a Player Development Fee, on Friday.

Lanthier, from Surrey, British Columbia, played in 47 games with Langley last season and scored 3 goals while adding 8 assists for 11 points.

“Ryley is a big 6 foot 2 forward who will add size to our forward group. He’s a tough player to play against and will help our skill up front.” Mustang Head Coach and GM Trevor Blevins said. “We look forward to bringing Ryley to Melfort, and getting him into his first SJHL game.”

The Mustangs will meet the Broncos in Humboldt tonight before hosting the preseason rematch tomorrow in Melfort. Both games begin at 7:30pm.
