6-1 loss to Kindersley

Kindersley Klippers 6   Melfort Mustangs 1

The Melfort Mustangs lost in regulation in the first time in five games as they dropped a 6-1 decision to the Kindersley Klippers at the W.C.E.C Tuesday night.

Jesse Wilkins was making his third straight start and faced 35 shots but was no match for a high flying Klippers offense that found their stride on home ice.

Colby Daniels had two goals and an assist while Giovani Bombini added three helpers to lead the way for Kindersley who got 29 saves from Warren Shymko.

Ryan Donar picked up his first SJHL goal and added an assist as well while Captain D.Jay McGrath potted his seventh of the season just 25 seconds into the third period to put the final nail in the coffin.

Adam Fauchoux replied for Melfort with his first goal of the season.

The Klippers went 2/4 on the powerplay while the Mustangs struggled, going 0/3 on the night.

Melfort is back at it Wednesday as they head to the Battlefords for one of the most important games of the first half.

The CK750 pre-game show begins at 7:15.
