Mustangs Get Some WHL Help

Bricker, Boomgaarden Re-Assigned

The Regina Pats (WHL) have re-assigned 18 year old forward Dexter Bricker to the hockey club.

Bricker was acquired by the Mustangs from the Nipawin Hawks at the trade deadline last season along with David Heath and Teal Sobkowicz.

Bricker started the season with the Pats and appeared in one regular season game picking up seven penalty minutes in the process.

The Saskatoon product played 44 games for the Hawks last season putting up eight goals and seven assists.


The Red Deer Rebels (WHL) have re-assigned 19 year old defenseman Riley Boomgaarden to the hockey club.

The Grand Prairie, Alberta product appeared in 21 games for the Rebels last season before injuries kept him out of the lineup.

Boomgaarden is listed at 6’4 and 225 pounds and played two seasons of Midget AAA with the Grand Prairie Storm.
