October 9 - The Melfort Mustangs dropped a nail biter last night at the Palace.
The Weyburn Red Wings skated away with a 3-2 win, after scoring 2 goals in the second period, before seeing that lead evaporate in the third.
The Wings would eventually get the go-ahead goal with less than 4 minutes to play in the game.
Rylan Parenteau was stellar in the Wings net, stopping 40 of 42 shots, while Jack Romanuik had 25 saves for Melfort in his first start of his SJHL career.
The Mustangs will host Kindersley Saturday night at the Palace.
