Comeback Win in a Shootout

October 12 - Brandon Sloan had the unofficial hat-trick as the Mustangs knocked off the SJHL's hottest team in a come from behind victory Saturday night at The Palace.

After falling behind 2-0 to the Kramer Division leading Klippers, the Mustangs clawed back and took the lead on goals from Brandon Sloan (2) and Anthony Pickering.

With just moments to play, Gio Bombini got on the board for the Klippers and sent the game to overtime.

In the extra frame, Mustangs defenseman David Heath was awarded a penalty shot but was turned aside by the pad of former Mustang Tyrel King.

That sent things to a shootout where Travis Mayan, Brandon Sloan and Austin Rediron teamed up to cap off one of the most exciting victories in years!

Rediron kicked aside 30 shots for the win while Brandon Sloan finished the night with two goals and an assist, earning first star honours.

3rd year vet Anthony Pickering picked up three points as well on route to his season high.

The Mustangs will take the remainder of the weekend off for Thanksgiving but are back on home ice Wednesday against the Battlefords North Stars.

Game time is 7:30, the game sponsor is Realty Executives/Gateway Realty.
