Mustangs Hold Serve

By Mustang News, 04/10/16, 1:15PM CST

Home ice is proving to be quite an advantage in this semi final series between the Stangs and Hawks as all 5 games have been won by the home team. The Mustangs came out flying on Saturday night with one of their best first periods all season and lead after the opening frame by a score of 1 to nothing off the stick of Dakota Boutin. The second period saw an explosion of goals by the home team who scored 5 times to take a commanding 6 to 1 lead. All 4 lines got on the score sheet and eventually chased Nipawin's starting goaltender from the crease. The final frame was a solid shut down period by the home side who won by a final score of 6 to 2. Click on the Video Hilights tab to see the recap.

The Mustangs will try and reverse the home side trend on Sunday as they look to win the series and punch their ticket to the Canalta Cup finals for the second straight year.
