Parkinson was great as he back stopped the Mustangs to 6-2 and 5-1 wins over Yorkton and Melville, respectively. On the season Parkinson is 6-0 with a 1.06 GAA and a .958 Save Percentage. He's just 200 minutes shy of being a qualified SJHL goaltender this season. Melfort has now won 9 straight games and will look to make it 10 tomorrow night vs the Weyburn Red Wings.

Mustangs move up to #17 Nationally

The Melfort Mustangs come in as number 17 on the Canadian Junior Hockey League's weekly top 20 rankings. Following a 2-0 record, the Melfort boys move up from #19 to #17 in a span of a week. Riding a 9 game win streak the Mustangs now have the highest win percentage in the SJHL, and sit just 2 points back of Humboldt for top spot in the SJHL with 3 games in hand.
