The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce that captain Zayden Sadlemyer has committed to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) for the upcoming ACAC season.
Sadlemyer leaves a lasting mark on the Mustangs organization following an outstanding career in Melfort. Serving as captain, he led by example every day, setting the standard with his work ethic, accountability, and commitment to the team both on and off the ice.
A steady and reliable presence in all situations, Sadlemyer played a key role in guiding the group through a competitive season and helping drive the push toward the playoffs. His leadership and consistency made him a player his teammates could count on in every moment.
Head Coach Trevor Blevins spoke to the impact Sadlemyer had on the team:
“Zayden’s leadership was a key piece for our push to make the playoffs. He brought a level of professionalism and compete every day that set the tone for our group. He leads by example, and that’s something every team values in a captain.”
Beyond his on-ice contributions, Sadlemyer has been a strong representative of the Mustangs in the community, taking pride in connecting with fans and giving back through team initiatives.
