The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce that Clay Sleeva has committed to the Red Deer College Kings. Sleeva joined the Mustangs organization as a 20-year-old and quickly made an impact.
Sleeva started his SJHL career in Yorkton, playing 148 games with the Terriers before coming to Melfort. In his 42 games with the Mustangs, Sleeva earned himself 57 points with 18 goals and 39 assists.
Head Coach Trevor Blevins had nothing but high praise to say about Sleeva: “Clay came to our organization and made an immediate impact both on the ice and in our dressing room. One of the most important acquisitions in our franchise and he was a very important player in our championship playoff run. We wish him all the best in Red Deer, they are receiving an individual with character traits that are off the charts”
We wish Clay all the best in his future.
