The Melfort Mustangs would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Assistant Coach Tye Scherger for his dedication, professionalism, and contributions during his time behind the bench in Melfort. Coach Scherger has officially accepted a new role as Assistant Coach with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades.
Tye joined the Mustangs staff ahead of the 2023-24 season and immediately brought a high level of energy, passion, and commitment to player development. His work ethic and attention to detail were evident in everything he did—whether it was during practices, on the bench, or in helping players grow both on and off the ice.
The Mustangs organization is proud to have been part of Coach Scherger’s journey and are confident he will make a strong impact in Saskatoon. We thank Tye for all he’s done for our team and community, and we wish him nothing but success in this next chapter.
