Tkachuk earns MVP of the Month from SJHL

What a start to 2023 it was for Mustangs Captain Ben Tkachuk.

The 2002-born forward has earned the SJHL’s honour of SGEU MVP of the Month for January after notching 20 points in 10 games in the month.

Tkachuk was only held pointless twice in January, and had six multi-point efforts. The Gronlid, Sask. Product scored four goals in the month, and added 16 assists as well. Tkachuk’s month was highlighted by a five assist night against Humboldt on Jan. 13, and also included a four point night (two goals, two assists) on Jan. 24 against Flin Flon.

The University of Saskatchewan Commit is currently on a six game point streak and currently tenth in the SJHL in scoring.
