TRADE: Mustangs acquire Prospal from Sherwood Park

The Melfort Mustangs have made another move as the January 10th trade deadline approaches.

The Mustangs have acquired 2000-born Defenceman Vaclav Prospal from the Sherwood Park Crusaders in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

Prospal born in Ottawa, Ontario, has ties to the Czech Republic, Canada and the USA.

He played 5 games with the Sherwood Park Crusaders this year picking up an assist. He spent last season in the Czech Republic with the Motor Ceske Budejovice U20, where he played 39 games, scoring 4 goals to go with 6 assists for 10 points. Before his time in Europe, the defenceman spent two years in the Tampa Scorpions program in the NAPHL playing in 22 games and scoring 8 points.
