The Melfort Mustangs and Nipawin Hawks have swung a deal ahead of the 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft this week.
The Mustangs have traded 2001-born forward Christian Albertson, 2002-born forward Carter Stebbings and a conditional draft pick to the Hawks in exchange for a Player Development Fee.
Albertson, from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, played 41 games with the Mustangs scoring nine goals and seven assists for 16 points. In 4 playoff games, Albertson scored 2 goals. Prior to his season in Melfort, Albertson played with the Swift Current Legionnaires Midget AAA Program.

Stebbings, also from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, played the last 3 seasons with the Saskatoon Blazers of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
Next on the calendar for the SJHL is the annual Bantam Draft which takes place this Friday.
