The Ripley Ford Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce that Cole Unger has committed to the University of Manitoba for the 2026/27 U SPORTS season.
Unger spent three seasons with the Mustangs, becoming a valued member of the organization both on and off the ice. During his junior career, he helped the Mustangs capture two SJHL championships, playing an important role in the team’s success while earning the respect of his teammates, coaches, and the Melfort community through his hard work, dedication, and team-first attitude.
“Congratulations to Cole on earning this opportunity with the University of Manitoba,” said Head Coach Trevor Blevins. “Over the past three seasons, Cole has been an important part of our program. He has worked hard every day and was a key contributor to two championship teams. We’re excited to see him continue both his hockey career and his education, and we know he’ll be a great addition to the Bisons.”
The Mustangs are incredibly proud to see another player advance to the next level and continue building on the success he achieved in Melfort.
