The Melfort Mustangs are happy to announce another commitment for the 2021-22 season!

Zach Stangness, a 2003-born Defenceman, from Strathmore, Alberta, has committed to the Mustangs.

“Zach is a player that will be great in our own zone. He’s big, strong and a tough defender. Mustangs Head Coach and GM Trevor Blevins said. “He’s got a lot of upside and will be hard to play against.”

The 6-foot-2, 190lb, Defenceman, started the 2020-21 season with the Okotoks Oilers U18 AAA Program in the Alberta Elite Hockey League. In 5 games, Stangness had one assist before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. During the 2019-20 season, Zach played with the Wheatland Chiefs U18 AA program.
