Adam Hergott and Reed Gunville commit to Alberta-Augustana

The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce Reed Gunville and Adam Hergott have committed to the University of Alberta-Augustana for the 2018-19 hockey season.

Following the 2017-18 season with the Mustangs, Reed and Adam will join former Mustang Travis Mayan as a Viking.

Defenceman Adam Hergott, a Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native, played 143 career regular season games with the Mustangs, and was part of the 2015-16 Mustang Championship winning team.  He leaves the Mustangs after three full seasons, playing his entire junior career in Melfort. He scored 13 goals over his SJHL Career and totaled 53 points.

Forward Reed Gunville, also from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, played 92 regular season games as a Mustang over two seasons, scoring 33 goals and adding 55 assists. Reed was acquired by the Mustangs from the West Kelowna Warriors in November of 2016. He won an RBC Cup with West Kelowna in 2016.

Mustangs Head Coach Trevor Blevins says, “We the Melfort Mustangs are extremely happy for Reed and Adam on their commitments to the University of Alberta-Augustana in Camrose. We wish them all the best as they further their educational and hockey careers.”
