Cody Laliberte Commits to Melfort for 2021-22

The Melfort Mustangs are excited to announce our next commitment for the 2021-22 hockey season.

Cody Laliberte, a 2003-born forward, from Spruce Grove, Alberta, has committed to the team. Laliberte, had spent the beginning of the 2020-21 season with the CAC Canadians U18 AAA Program in the Alberta Elite Hockey League U18.

The 6-foot-0, 174lb forward had a great start to the year before it was shut down to COVID-19. In six games this year he scored one goal and added three assists for four points. In 2019-20, with the PAC Spruce Grove Saints U18 AA team, he scored 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points in 31 games.

“Cody is a player who plays the game at full speed, and were happy to bring him into our program.” Mustang Head Coach and GM Trevor Blevins said. “He has great Hockey IQ and with his offensive capabilities is a player we look forward to seeing produce in our lineup.”

Laliberte will join the Mustangs for the 2021-22 season.
