Jacob Hufty traded to the La Ronge Ice Wolves

The Melfort Mustangs have traded 2004-born forward Jacob Hufty to the La Ronge Ice Wolves for a Player Development Fee. Hufty from Kamloops BC, has been playing in his second season with the Mustangs earning 2 goals and 2 assists in 5 games. 

Hufty played with the Merritt Centennials in 2021 for his first taste of Junior Hockey. He returned for the 23-24 season to Melfort as a sign having only played 13 games with the club last season before heading back to the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, where he finished the 22-23 season.
