Justin Ball commits to U of S!

The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce Justin Ball has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for the 2019-20 season!

Ball, from Saskatoon Saskatchewan, is a three year Mustang and spent his entire Junior A career in Melfort. In 181 career games, Ball scored 97 goals and added 101 assists for 198 points. He capped off his junior A career with a trip to the SJHL Finals as the SJHL MVP. Ball led the league in both goals with 54, and points with 103. He’s the first player to score 50+ goals in an SJHL Season since 2010-11.

“We couldn’t be more proud of Justin to commit to his hometown USports Team. He’s been an unbelievable Mustang over the last 3 years and we’re really happy for him.” Mustang Head Coach Trevor Blevins said. “He’s been an honour to coach, and will be missed in our community and on our team.”

Ball and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies will begin the 2019-20 season this fall. This past year the Huskies were one of the top USports teams in the country falling in the Bronze Medal game to St. FX in the National Championship Tournament.

The entire Mustang organization would like to congratulate Justin on his commitment to Saskatchewan, a top USports program in the country, and thank him for the last 3 years in Melfort!
