Mustangs Lose to Notre DAme

It was a disappointing night for the Melfort Mustangs on Wednesday when the Notre Dame Hounds came to town. The Mustangs played a good game, but came up on the wrong side of a lot of bad bounces to fall 7-2 to the 12-8-3-1 Hounds. Despite out shooting Notre Dame for the entire game only two Melfort players came away with goals on the night, Kalem Zary (assited by Reed Gunville and Adam Hergott) and Dakota Boutin (assisted by Matt Hermary and Jaxon Joseph).  Both Derrick Hucul and Evan Plotnik saw ice time in net for the Mustangs, with Hucul starting and finishing the contest and Plotnik taking over in the second. The Mustangs currently it at a record of 9-12-1-3, for a total of 22 points and 10 place overall. The Mustangs are back in action this weekend as they play a home and home with Nipawin, starting in the Cage on Friday, and returning to the Palace on Saturday.
