Belton commits to Melfort for 2022/2023

The Melfort Mustangs are excited to announce their first commitment for the 2022/2023 season.

2004-born forward Logan Belton of the Winnipeg Wild U18 AAA club has committed to the Mustangs for next season. The Winnipeg product is listed at 5’11” and 176lbs.

“Logan is a player with excellent offensive instincts and produces it at a high level,” Mustangs Head Coach and General Manager Trevor Blevins said. “He will be a great addition to our forward core next year and in the future.”

Belton currently leads the Wild in goals and points through 33 games. He has 29 goals and 23 assists for 52 points. His 52 points are good for a tie for ninth in the Manitoba U18 AAA League, and his 29 goals are good for sixth.

In the COVID-19 shortened, Belton scored two goals in two games. He was also a call-up in 2019/2020 and scored one goal and added two assists in four games.
