Mustangs to retire #11 Joseph at home opener

The Melfort Mustangs will kick off the 2018-19 season this weekend as they meet Notre Dame for a home and home.

Both teams open the season on Saturday night in Melfort in what should be an emotional night. Along with starting the season the Mustangs will be retiring Jaxon Joseph’s #11 jersey he wore as a Mustang over two seasons. Game time is 7:30pm with pre game ceremonies to begin at 7:15pm.

Jaxon played 66 regular season and 4 playoff games with the Mustangs during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. He scored 14 goals and added 17 assists as a Mustang.

Number 11 will never be worn by a Melfort Mustang again.

The two teams will meet in Notre Dame, Sunday at 6pm, to wrap up the weekend.
