Marshall Skapski commits to RMC

The Melfort Mustangs are proud to announce Defenceman Marshall Skapski has committed to the Royal Military College of Canada Paladins for the 2019-20 hockey season!

Skapski, from Abbotsford British Columbia, joined the Mustangs for the final 40 games of the regular season and playoffs this year, following 187 games in the BCHL with Cowichan Valley, Merritt and Alberni Valley. In 40 regular season and 15 playoff games, Skapski scored 1 goal and added 13 assists as a Mustang.

“Marshall is a great hockey player and person and we couldn’t be happier for his commit to RMC.” Mustang Head Coach, Trevor Blevins said. “Marshall is the typical do-what-it-takes hockey player. Whether it’s shutting down a top line, or blocking multiple shots, he’s the guy you want on your back end. We’re so thankful he joined our team this year and wish him the best with RMC!”

The Paladins currently compete in the Ontario University Athletics Association (OUA). They begin their 2019-20 season this fall out of Kingston, Ontario.

The Mustangs would like to thank Marshall for his time in Melfort. He was a great ambassador for the community both on and off the ice and will be missed.
